C. montana Rubens
Sometimes described as a little hardier than other C. montanas. Because there are many poor forms of this variety in cultivation, we have carefully selected a clear deep pink with golden stamens for our stock. Masses of 2-3" (6-8cm)flowers in May and June. (all montana's will have severe frost damage when minimum temperatures fall below 0 to-10F (-12 to -18C). The plants will probably survive, however, the tops will be burnt off and the plants will notbloom.) Pruning group A |
